The domaine was founded in 1954 following the marriage of Edmond Geantet and Bernadette Pansiot. Vincent Geantet now works in tandem with his son. The domaine based in Gevrey now has 13 hectares in villages, premier crus, and in Chambertin and Charmes-Chambertin as well as its plots in Chambolle and Clos-de-Vougeot. It is a reliable and safe bet of the Côte de Nuits.
The Geantet-Pansiot Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2021 is a true Charmes, very charming, full of beautiful aromas of black fruit and spices, and perfectly managed in its woodiness, with a beautiful tension on the finish. A racy, extremely subtle wine with 20+ years of aging potential.
