It is probably the most emblematic expression of the Alicante Bouschet variety in all its fullness and its great aging potential.
The historic Vinha dos Carapetos is the birthplace of this complex, rich and intense wine, and from where the small and much appreciated dye grapes are harvested.  Mouchão Tonel Nº 3-4 will be best appreciated in its splendor in 15 to 20 years after the harvest, although it can reach its peak much later.
